Rising star Eesam on collabo with Mr Kagame
He is one of the best lyricists in the country and he was approachable, and I was convinced his hip hop flavor would add something to the song. It was an easy decision to take. Asked why he chose to collaborate with Mr Kagame, the ‘Igitoki’ singer said.

Eesam is also a songwriter, and has composed songs for more established musicians like Marina, Yvan Muziki and Bushali to name a few.
In a separate interview, Mr. Kagame said he listened to a few of Easam’s songs before accepting to work on ‘Ukuri’ with him. “He is very talented. I liked his vocals and studio vibes … He has a huge future ahead of him if he doesn’t give up.”

Singer Eesam, born Samuel Byiringiro, has said his fans should expect more from him after releasing a song featuring Afrobeat star Eric Mabano – popularly known by stage name ‘Mr Kagame’.
Titled ‘Ukuri’, Eesam told kinyarwander that the song was inspired by a true story from one of his friends.
